Information about Tropical Storm Bonnie : 2010 Atlantic Storm Names List : Includes Tampa Bay Area.

In early July, a tropical wave emerged from Africa. On July 17, it started to show signs of development while located northeast of the Lesser Antilles. It slowly increased in organization for a few days, moving west-northwestward, until it showed signs of a closed surface circulation and on July 22, it was officially classified by the NHC as Tropical Depression Three while located over the Southeastern Bahamas. That afternoon, the NHC upgraded the tropical depression to a tropical storm and named it "Bonnie". It made landfall on the southeastern coast of Florida on the morning of July 23.
